Mary Rose Taylor, age 83, passed away Tuesday May 21, 2013 at her home in Tecumseh, MI. Mary was born Feb. 7, 1930 in Toledo, OH to Charles and Rose Schlachter and was a 1947 graduate of Central Catholic High School. She worked as a secretary for Toledo Trust, the Toledo Board of Education, and Start HS, from where she retired. Following her retirement, Mary became an entrepreneur at H & H Antiques which allowed her to pursue her passion for antiques, auctions, and estate sales. Mary also enjoyed painting, especially with oils and watercolors. She was a proud mother and grandmother and cherished the time she spent with her family. Mary is survived by her children, Terri Potter, Marge Taylor, Marty Taylor, Mike Caren Taylor, Joe Shelly Taylor, Julie Mike Becker; grandchildren, Eric Stephanie, Brian Sarah, Suzanne, Patrick, Elizabeth, Aaron, Lauren, Amanda, Nicole; and sister, Dorothy George Zemper. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, her parents, and son-in-law Ted Potter. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 2-9:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave west of Corey Rd. On Wednesday, funeral services will begin with prayers at 9am at the funeral home, followed by a procession to St. Catherine of Siena Parish for the 10am Mass of the Resurrection.
