Mary K. Shroyer

Mary Manion Shroyer, Mimi 79, passed on to a more comfortable place on Saturday, January 7, 2012. She was retired in 1994 from the Lucas County Juvenile Clerks Office where she worked 35 devoted years. She was very proud of her service to the County. She was born and raised in Toledo, to John and Creda Manion, and is survived by her brother Michael Cathy Manion and her sister Joan Ray-Riley. Her older brother Fr. Dominic Manion, and her very significant other of 38 years, Richard Lecrone, sadly, predeceased her. Mary devoted her life to her family and always put the needs of her family ahead of her own. She will be forever remembered and dearly missed by her daughters Kathleen Oran Pawlowski and Joan Ty Szumigala. Everyone who knew Mary knew that the joy of her life was her grandchildren, Bradley, Heather, and Winston Chester and Christopher and Rebecca Szumigala. Also, near to her heart were her very special nieces and their families, Jackie Shibley and Sara Sweet. Before the frailties of life started to take their toll, Marys passion was her garden. Her neighbors enjoyed the beauty of her small little yard which was always a riot of color. Friends and family may celebrate Marys life by visiting with her family on Saturday, January 14, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Conant Street in Maumee where a memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers you may wish to make a donation to the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
