Mary Jane Rost

Mary Jane Rost, age 95, of Toledo died peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Heatherdowns Care Center. She was born June 3, 1919 to Julius and Matilda Cutway and in 1936 she married William A. Rost Sr. Mary Jane worked in Lay-a-way at Tiedtke’s Department Store for 20 years, retiring in 1976. She was an avid reader who enjoyed camping with her husband in northern Michigan, listening to Christian music and taking walks to Schmucker’s for lunch. She is survived by her loving daughter Susan (Gary) Guest; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband, William; sons, William A. Rost Jr. and Jerome Rost as well as her granddaughters, Melissa Kidd and Holly Guest. Friends will be received on Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 9-11:00 A.M. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway (419-865-8879) where funeral services will begin at 11 A.M. Burial will follow in Springfield Township Cemetery.
