Mary Ann Pruss

Mary Ann Pruss, age 84, of Maumee, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the Spring Meadows Extended Care Center. She was born April 13, 1927 in Toledo to Joseph and Rose Olwick Ryan. Mary owned and operated Marys Beauty Shop for over 50 years, and was the hairdresser for Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home. A longtime parishioner of St. Joseph Church Maumee, Mary was past president of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary. A kind and generous person, Mary loved her children, grandchildren and many friends. The widow of Teddy Pruss who passed away April 29, 2004, Mary is survived by her loving sons, George Susan Pruss and David Tina Pruss; grandchildren, David Shelly Pruss, Daniel Dana Pruss, Rebecca Dave Easterly, Jason Rebecca Pruss, Melissa Justin Miller and Amanda Jay Watts; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Keil; and brothers, Joseph Ryan and Bill Ryan. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter Amelia Marie Pruss; brothers, George and Leonard Ryan; and sister Rita Helle. Family and friends may visit Monday, August 15, 2011 from 2-8 PM in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will begin Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Church, Maumee.
