Mary Angela Prentiss

Mary Angela Redmond Prentiss, age 75, of Maumee, Oh., died August, 2, 2008, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on September 17, 1932 to Michael and Genevieve McKay Redmond in Savannah, Georgia. She was a graduate of St. Vincents Academy in Savannah. Family was very important to her and she was very proud of her four daughters and loved them dearly. She was most happy being a wife, mother and grandmother, as well as tending to her gardens. She loved golf and played for many years at Valleywood with her husband being her favorite partner. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Donald Jake Prentiss, whom she met and married in 1951 in Savannah where he was stationed in the army; her brother Michael Redmond, and sister Jane Moore. Mary will be missed greatly by her sister, Carolyn Craig Groover of Savannah; 4 daughters Donna Mike Malone, Mary Ann Arthur Schlosser Prentiss, Amy Trey Mudge Prentiss, Julie Corey Pargo; 12 Grandchildren Jesse Maricel and Alison Causer, Heather Puhy and Sarah Schlosser, Yuri, Ilya, Shane Launitz and Nick Mudge, Walter, Genevieve, Will Kolhoff and Corey Pargo; Great-Granddaughter Julia Puhy; Niece Kathleen Butch Honnick and many other nieces and nephews, as well as many longtime neighbors and friends. Visiting hours are 2 8 pm Wednesday at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00am Thursday at the funeral home.
