Mary Augusta Powers

Mary A. Powers, age 85, passed away Monday Jan. 4, 2011 at Kingston Care Center. The daughter of George and Elizabeth Powers, she was born August 19, 1925 in Toledo. She graduated from Libbey High School and attended Ohio Wesleyan University. She received her Bachelor degree from the University of Toledo. She was employed by the Sun Oil Co. for 40 years as a secretary. Mary was a member of Park Congregational Church, Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, American Association of University Women, PEO Chapter AQ and the Ruth Circle. She is survived by her sisters, Georgiana Chester Durham, Dorothy Philip Rice; nieces and nephews, Beverly Stan Wrucha, Ginger Harnish, Dorothy Mora, Camilla Tom Whitehead, Carolyn Warren Seith, Philip Rice II, David Maria Rice, John Cyndi Rice, Carolyn Lubert-Jan Vonhoff; and 16 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Warren Reaser. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 4-8 PM at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee, OH where services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday. Interment will follow at Ft.
