Mary M Plageman

Mary M. Plageman, age 90 of Pemberville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in Otterbein Portage Valley Care Center. She was born July 27, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan to William and Marie (Lauzon) Hayek. She was a secretary at WPOS Radio and previous to this was secretary and treasurer for Plageman Ceramic and Tile Company. Mary was an active former member of Bethel, Providence and Epiphany Lutheran churches, and a current member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed writing poetry and loved to knit and crochet. The widow of Robert G. Plageman, she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Sara Plageman-Clark. Surviving are her sons Thomas (Linda) Plageman and Stephen (Charlene) Plageman; granddaughters Amy (Sean) Nagley, Lesa Humphrey, Heather (Dennis) Marion, Julie (Jeff) Hall and Anna (Jason) Hensley; and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 2-8 PM in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey). A memorial service will take place Monday at 10 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church 4560 Glendale Ave., Toledo. where visitation will be 1 hour prior. Interment will be private.
