Mary L. Pfisterer

Mary L. Pfisterer recently a resident of the Genoa Retirement Village and formerly of Port Clinton, Ohio, died early Monday morning, July 2, 2012, at the age of 92. Born in Dover, Ohio, on May 3, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. Boyd, Sr. and Wilma M. Engelhart Boyd. On December 29, 1939, she married Donald A. Pfisterer in Dover, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on December 4, 1994. Mary was a homemaker all of her adult life. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Port Clinton and the St. John Priscilla Circle. She served on the Riverview School Board for 15 years and was a member of the Ottawa County Residential Board for 15 years. Mary is survived by her brother, Robert Boyd, Jr. of Dover, three children, David Pfisterer of Findlay, Ann Anzelmo of Columbus and Barbara Pfisterer of Williston, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Her parents and husband preceded her in death. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the direct care of the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa. Memorial contributions for Mary may be given to the Luther Home of Mercy, 5810 N.
