Mary Jane Perry

Mary Jane Perry, age 94, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away December 12, 2023 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo Care Center. She was born March 26, 1929 in Toledo, OH to Melvin and Pearl (Gordon) Netermyer. Mary was a 1947 graduate of Libbey High School and was a member of the class reunion committee. She had a many cherished life long friends that dated all the way back to her elementary school days at Arlington. They would meet monthly for lunch, cards, and laughter. Mary was very active, taking water aerobics classes at BGSU and line dancing with her friends from the Maumee Senior Group.

Mary worked at First Presbyterian Church of Maumee as their secretary for several years. She enjoyed gardening and then canning the bountiful harvest. Mary was an avid shopper and loved to attend garage and estate sales, always finding treasures. She relished the time she spent at the family cabin in the Allegheny National Forest in Pennsylvania and her winter home in Texas.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathi (Don) Speweik; son, James (Cyndi) Perry; sister Lois (Hank) Berry; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in the spring.
