Mary Lucille "Lucille" Pattay

Mary Lucille Pattay, 94, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on July 7, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.

Born on February 7, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of Stephen and Mary (Sopko) Oravec. Lucille was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and later earned her bachelor's degree from Mary Manse College in 1955.

On August 10, 1957, she married Robert A. Pattay, her childhood friend and later her sweetheart.

Lucille devoted many years to the field of education. Her teaching career began in Detroit, Michigan, and concluded in Toledo, Ohio. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and reading.

She is survived by her children, Richard F. (Melanie) Pattay, Robert S. Pattay, and Marian (Larry) Zengel; grandchildren, Frances Zengel and Sasha Zengel; step-grandchild, Ember (Brian) Schatz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert A. Pattay; brother, Stephen Oravec; and sister, Jean LaPorte.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio 43537.

Private burial will take place at St. Rose Catholic Cemetery in Perrysburg.
