Mary Pat Oberle

Mary Pat (Armstrong) Oberle, age 53, went to be with our Lord on April 19, 2017 at the ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 3, 1964 in Toledo to Jack and Nancy (Huepenbecker) Armstrong. Mary graduated from Whiteford High School, Ottawa Lake, MI. She is a member of Christ the King Church and taught CCD for six years on Sunday evenings. The most important thing in her life was family and spending time with her children. She enjoyed going on annual trips with the family and being on the water and the beach. Mary had a passion for gardening and flowers. She also had a fondness for the outdoors, often walking and biking. Most of all, she had a sassy sense of humor that was loved by all. Mary loved her many nieces and nephews and babysat many of them for years. She coached Sylvania Hillview girls softball for 6 years and also volunteered and worked at the school system. Mary most recently worked at the Hickman Cancer Center with a fabulous group of friends who she loved dearly. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 29 yrs., Dave; son Matt; daughter, Lauren (Aaron) Burke; parents; siblings, Karen ( Rick) Bischoff, Tom (Marianne) Armstrong, Diane Armstrong, Ann Liska, Joyce (Hal) Hamer, Susan (Russ) Malnar, Janet (Scott) Stone, and Sharon (Denny) Schaffer; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her niece, Catherine Armstrong and brother-in-law, Walt Liska. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue from 2 until 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at Christ the King Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo, OH 43623, on Friday at noon. Inurnment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Tributes in Marys memory may be sent to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or charity of choice.
