Mary Kay Nodge, of Catawba Island, passed away on October 27, 2024, at home. She was born on August 4, 1939, in Fremont, Ohio to William Crispen and Helen (Russell) Ickes of Gibsonburg, Ohio.
She worked for the Leo J Mahoney Company of Port Clinton for 19 years, retiring in 2005.
She was an avid reader, belonging to several book clubs. She also enjoyed playing cards, taking walks by the lake with her husband, shopping trips with her daughter, spending time with her friends, and playing golf. She was the ladies club champion at Sycamore Hills Golf Course in 1975.
Survivors include her husband Richard, whom she married on Marco Island, Florida in 1999, daughter, Roberta Brady and special friend, Wayne Searight of Norwalk, Ohio, son, David Stein of New York, sister, Jean Graber of Helena, Ohio, nieces and nephews, Jody Jans of Kansas, Lori Moore of Wayne, Ohio, and Amy of Helena, Ohio, grandson, Rob (Firouze) Brady of Fremont, Ohio, great grandchildren, Dylan, Aubrey, and Liam Brady of Fremont, Ohio, step-grandchildren, Brandi, Aurora, and Bobby Streitferdt of Warren, Ohio, Kyla Plant of Niles, Ohio, and Ashley Streitferdt of Cortland, Ohio, and step-son, Tim (Bobbi) Nodge of Braceville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-daughter, Sheri Streitferdt, nephew, Jay Graber, and brother-in-law, Chuck Graber.
Per Mary’s wishes, services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Ottawa County Humane Society.
