Mary N. Mcdowell

Mary N. McDowell, 81, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Monday, June 08, 2015 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH.. Mary was born on March 21, 1934 in Findlay, OH, the daughter of Robert M. and Hazel (Fett) Hess. On April 14, 1956, she married William W. McDowell Jr. and he survives. Mary worked as a secretary for Cooper Tire & Rubber Co, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, OH. Mary will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Loving Husband of 59 years: William W. McDowell of Port Clinton, OH; Daughters: Barbara McDowell of Worthington, OH and Elizabeth (John II) Zitkovic of Findlay, OH; Grandson: Stephen W. (Amy C.) Zitkovic of Lombard IL; Brothers: Dr. Robert Hess of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Dr.William (Dorie) Hess of Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Mary was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Bruce Batchelor-Glader at 11:00AM, Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 135 Adams St., Port Clinton, OH 43452. Memorial donations in memory of Mary may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church or Ida Rupp Public Library, 310 Madison St., Port Clinton, OH. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory has assisted the family with arrangements.
