Mary S. Macaskill

Mary S. MacAskill, 81, of Perrysburg, Ohio died Monday, February 29, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Newport, Tennessee on March 11, 1934 to Cloyde and Myrtle (Maloy) Brooks. Mary graduated from Cocke County High in Newport and married her sweetheart, James MacAskill in Dearborn, Michigan on November 8, 1958. She worked in the administration office for Dearborn Medical Center and Key Bank. Mary was a devoted and faithful member of Cedar Creek Church. Her greatest loves where her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (David) Goldsmith, son, William MacAskill, grandchildren, Michael Goldsmith, Emily (Matt) Gorey, Sarah (Levi) Hutmacher, Nathan Goldsmith, and great grandsons, Harrison Hutmacher and Robinson Gorey. She was preceded in death by mother, Myrtle Brooks and father, Cloyd Brooks, brother YJ, sisters Velma and Geneva, and husband James. Friends will be received at Witzler Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St. Perrysburg, Ohio (419-874-3133) on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the funeral home beginning at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mary’s family.
