LANIGAN Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Betty was born on December 13, 1929 to John E. and Beatrice McCormick in Brooklyn, N.Y. She received her eternal reward on her 86th birthday, December 13, 2015. She married Robert J Lanigan on December 30, 1950 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Brooklyn, NY. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Toledo, OH, and although she traveled the world with her husband, she considered Toledo her home. Betty enjoyed many sports. It would not be unusual to find Betty on the golf course, tennis court, on the ski slope or in the gym. Her favorite activity was riding her horse, Willy. She also enjoyed birdwatching, gardening, needlepoint, cooking and reading. Betty was devoted to her husband, Bob, and was a great support to him in his career and life goals. She loved spending time with him at their Naples, Florida and Carbondale, Colorado homes. It was truly a marriage made in heaven. Her family and Catholic faith, especially St. Anthony, was extremely important to her. With that faith, sense of humor, and great energy, she raised five children. Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Marthanne and her brother John. She will be lovingly missed by her husband of almost 65 years and children, J. Kenneth Lanigan (Kim M.), Betty J. B.J. Snavely (David A), Kathryn L. Pilewskie (Mark E.), Jeanne M. Schafer (Dr. Richard), Suzanne M. Lanigan (Anthony Donofrio). Nana took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren Taylor J Lanigan, Christopher E., Joshua A. and Taylor M. Fuqua, Caitlin E Acampa (John-Claude), D. Robert Snavely (Elizabeth), Thomas L. Snavely, Kyle L Newnham (Keith C.), Jane E. Pilewskie, Sara M. Eynon (Jon), Dr. Melissa L. Pilewskie (Dr. T. Sean Lynch), Riki E. Graves (Christopher), Dr. Brad A Schafer, Anthony J. and Spencer J.
