Mary Lamarand, 93, of Temperance, MI, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008 in the home of her daughter surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 24, 1914 in Lima, OH to Edward and Ada Alice Andra. Mary was employed with Westinghouse during WWII and was a press operator with Acklin Stamping for many years. She was a member of the Baker-Stengle American Legion and served as past-president and chaplain of the Auxiliary. Mary was an avid reader, loved crafts especially crocheting and was an excellent cook. She and her husband in their retirement years enjoyed fishing with Harveys twin brother, Harland. Mary loved her grandchildren who were the highlight of her life. The widow of Harvey Lamarand, Mary is survived by her loving family; children, Pat James Tucker, Steve Betts, Jack Judy Betts and Sharon McCready; 14 grandhcildren; 26 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Andra. Family and friends may visit Thursday from 2-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, where funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
