Mary Ann Kusner

Mary Ann Kusner of Rossford, Ohio went home to be with Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 25, 2015 after a brief illness. She passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was born to Casimer and Anna Szofer and grew up in Toledo, Ohio attending St. Adalbert Parish in the Old Polish Village. Mary Ann did office work for Toledo Scale for ten years and was then a homemaker. She was a 1942 graduate of Woodward High School. Mary Ann loved going to various Churches for Mass, adoration, and had a devotion to the Rosary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was a member of the Guard of Honor at the Monastery of the Visitation in Toledo and she also liked reading, baking, and feeding the squirrels and birds. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene of 56 years and was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church for over 60 years. She is survived by her beloved son, Tim. Her last request was to thank him for being a great caregiver. Mary Ann will lie in state at Good Shepherd Parish, 550 Clark Street, Toledo, OH on Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 12 pm until the start of Mass at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
