Mary Kay Klinger

Mary Klinger passed away unexpectedly October 25, 2024. She was born Mary Mattison on August 23, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio. She grew up in West Toledo and graduated from Start High School in

1965. In many ways, though, her life truly began when she married Jeff Klinger in 1966. Together, they began a family that was central to Mary's life. She reveled in the successes of the people in her life, and she consoled them in their losses. In addition, she had a keen wit and a flair for words, with a passion for reading, word puzzles, and current events. She worked in the bakery at Churchill's Supermarket in Sylvania, Ohio, where she developed a talent for both baking and cake decorating.

Mary is survived by her husband Jeff; sons Eric and Tobin; daughter-in-law Michelle; grandchildren Cohen, Emily (Keith), Caitlin, James (Yuniel), and Aaron (Hannah); and great grandchildren Arbor and Fern. Mary asked that there be no memorial service, but her family asks that her loved ones hold her in their hearts just as she held them in hers.
