Mary "Sue" Kegg (Long) passed away peacefully Saturday, September 18th, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 84 years old. Sue was born on March 18, 1937, to Ellsworth and Helen Long. She graduated from Libbey High School and shortly thereafter was introduced to Paul Kegg. After a short engagement the two were married on November 17th, 1956. Sue spent her life as a devoted coach's wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a great cook but an excellent baker with pies being her specialty. Sue also spent many hours in her sewing room, most recently making masks for family, friends, and the local hospitals during pandemic. Great grandchildren looked forward to flannel pajamas every Christmas made by Grandma Sue and each grandchild received a t-shirt quilt hand made by Grandma when they graduated from high school. Sue was active in church and volunteered for organizations such as "Feed Your Neighbor" and St Luke's Hospital Auxiliary. Sue is survived by her four daughters, Robin (Mike) Kuehne, Randi (Mick) Dier, Kerry (Jeff) Burmeister and Kelly Palermo. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Paul Kegg, and brother Ron Long. Friends and family will be received on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 10 A.M. at Community of Christ Lutheran Church, 6517 Finzel Rd, Whitehouse, with a memorial service beginning at 11 A.M. Mask protocols will be in place for visitation and service. Arrangements were entrusted to Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home (419-893-7686).
