Mary J. Kansorka

Mary J. Kansorka, age 81, of Williston, Ohio passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Mary was born on January 1, 1936 to John and Beatrice (Harper) Short in Muskingum, Ohio. She married William O. Kansorka on July 20, 1957 in Toledo and he preceded her in death in 2011. She was a Corporate Accountant for Flower Hospital for over 32 years retiring in 1998. She also worked as an Accountant for the Dana Corporation for 5 years. Mary was President of the Board of the East Toledo Senior Center where she held various titles, including Queen Mother of the Red Hats and Choir Director. She was an active member of the Dana Retirees, and a substitute organist for various churches. Mary was also Treasurer of the Toledo Area Western Dance Leader Association. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved son, Kim K. (Mary Puterbaugh) Kansorka and loving granddaughter, Andrea (Sean) Wagoner. Friends will be received on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121). Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Larry Trover, officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury. Memorials may be directed to the East Toledo Senior Center.
