Mary O. Hagarty

Mary O. Hagarty, 85, of Genoa, died at Mercy-St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Wednesday, January 4, 2012. She was born August 6, 1926, in Ontario, Canada, to George and Theresa Macko. On January 8, 1946, in Ontario she married Harold Poppo F. Hagarty, who preceded her in death January 26, 1978. Mary was employed as a Preparation Specialist for Frischs. She enjoyed cooking but especially enjoyed being with her family and her dog, Scrappy-Doo! Surviving Mary are her daughters, Carol McDaniel and Lisa Hagarty, son, Brian Hagarty, grandchildren, Rne Jon Sohonage, Robin Hagarty, Jason Hagarty, Eric Staci McDaniel, Amanda Star Milburn, Brenna Hagarty and Brodie Hagarty, and great grandchildren, Cameron Sohonage, Emma and Alayna Cole, Kiana and Johnny Ryan Milburn, and Jalen Herbert. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Teri Hagarty, grandson, Ryan McDaniel, and daughter-in-law, Beth Hagarty. The funeral service will be conducted 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2012, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West St., Genoa, with interment to follow in Clay Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials for Mary may be given to the family to help with funeral expenses.
