Mary Lou Greenburg

Mary Lou Greenburg, 99, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025. She was born on June 9, 1926, to Howard and Florence and remained a lifelong resident of Toledo.

Mary Lou was a graduate of Libbey High School and later worked in the office at the Lion Store. Known for her quiet and gentle nature, she created a warm and welcoming home for her family and friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother, deeply devoted to her family and happiest when surrounded by them.

For many years, Mary Lou and her family enjoyed time at their cottage at Harrison Lake, where she especially loved hosting an annual Halloween party. She also enjoyed traveling and camping throughout Michigan, making cherished memories on the road and around the campfire.

Mary Lou lived with her daughter Linda, who lovingly cared for her for many years.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John “Jack”; daughter, Julie; sisters, Mildred, Doris, and Nancy; and many other family members. She is survived by her daughters, Linda, and Lori (Goble); one granddaughter, two great-granddaughters, one great-great grandson, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Saturday, August 2, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
