Mary Katherine Grace

Mary Katharine Grace, 98, of Port Clinton, OH, formerly of Monroeville, PA, Columbus, OH and State College, PA passed away Sunday, October 07, 2012 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center. Mary was born on August 22, 1914 in Atlantic City, NJ, the daughter of John and Katherine Flanagan Fitzgerald. She married Robert John Grace and they were married for over 50 years until he preceded her in death. Mary worked as a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Trenton, NJ. She was a member of the North American Martyrs of Monroeville, PA and a den mother for the Cub Scouts for several years. Mary enjoyed volunteering for the American Red Cross and was very active in her church. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Daughters: Katherine Merle Thomas Kearns, Aura Ellen Jack Dean, Maryanne Thomas Wilson and Debi Tom Lee; Sons: Edward James Ruth Santana-Grace, Robert John Grace and William Charles Grace; Sister: Monica Lawrence; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers: Paul Fitzgerald and John Fitzgerald and sister Dorothy Vielkind Per the wishes of the deceased there will be no visitation. Memorial donations in memory of Mary may be given to the North American Martyrs Church in Monroeville, PA. The funeral service will be at North American Martyrs Church at 9:30 am on Saturday, November 3 followed by internment at Allegheny Cemetery.
