Mary Lou Gorr

Gorr Mary Lou (Cothern) Mary Lou Gorr, age 87 passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Caring Hands for People. Mary Lou was born November 29, 1927 in Toledo, OH to Louis and Maude Cothern. She graduated from Libby High School in 1946 and married Arthur Gorr on August 2nd the following year. Mary Lou worked alongside Art at their home based business, Star Printing, while raising their three children. When her children were grown, Mary Lou worked at the Lion Store Westgate from where she retired. She enjoyed baking and traveling but she especially loved being a grandmother. Mary Lou is survived by her children Pat (Mike) Villemure, Bill (Laura) Gorr and Julie (Blair) Thompson; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Bob. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; siblings, Maxine, James, Joseph, John, Patricia, and Richard; and her parents. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-7 PM at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.). Graveside services will be held Monday at 11 AM in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
