Mary Jane Ewanski

Mary Jane Ewanski, age 88, of Rossford, OH, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. She was born on October 19, 1922 in Toledo, Ohio to Leon and Helen Trzaskowski Szymorowski. She married Edward Ewanski on June 17, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas. They were married for 54 years. He preceded her in death in 2003. Mary Jane was an avid sports fan, her favorites were BGSU, Duke mens basketball, UConn womens basketball, Detroit Tigers and Pistons. She was a loving wife, mother and very proud grandmother and great grandmother. Mary Jane is survived by her son, Jim Dolores Ewanski; daughter, Ruth Dave LaHote; grandchildren, Cindy Heath, Jennifer Ken Gonya, Kelly Brian Wesolowski, Tracy Jake Vanneman; five great grandchildren, Brandon, Kendall, Lila, Nicholas and Averie. Also surviving are her special friends, Shirley and John and Fred and Nan. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Jane was preceded in death by a brother and sister. There will be no services. The family will have a private celebration of Mary Janes life at a later date.
