Mary Lanora Eldridge

Mary Lanora Eldridge died peacefully at the Glacier Hills Retirement Community, Ann Arbor, Michigan on June 7, 2015 at the age of 95.  She was born Mary Lanora Dawson in London,  Ontario on October 9,1919. Mary grew up in London and spent her early adult life there and in Toronto, Ontario until her mid 30’s when she moved to Alberta for a few years.  There she met and married Russell Eldridge and they subsequently returned to London, Ontario where they resided until 1963.  Mary and Russell spent the remainder of their working lives and early retirement together in the Toronto area (but for some winters as “snowbirds” in both Florida and Arizona).  In 2003 they moved to Windsor, ON to be closer to remaining immediate family. Mary was preceded in death by Russell in 2008, and that spring moved to Toledo, Ohio.  In 2013 she moved to Ann Arbor to be with her son. Mary is survived by her son, Stephen; grandchildren, Erin, Nuri and Sean; and great granddaughters; Jaden and Price.  She is also mourned by her additional family, gained through marriage to Russell, and coming from his first marriage, son, Roy; and grandson, Raymond with his sons, Reid and Parker Eldridge. A private memorial service for immediate family will be held in Ann Arbor.
