MARY ELLEN (ANDERSON) DILWORTH Mary Ellen Dilworth, 79, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home under hospice care on May 19, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Mary was born December 8, 1931 (Feast Day of the Immaculate Conception), in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, the only child of Joseph Anderson and Alice McCarthy. She married Daniel J. Dilworth on December 1, 1956, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Redford, Michigan, and he survives. Their 54-year marriage took them to several career assignments where she established family homes in 10 locations in Michigan, Texas, London, England, and Ohio, where she resided the last several years. A Detroit Tigers and Wolverine fan, Mary also enjoyed traveling, particularly to New Smyrna Beach, Florida, where she spent many winters. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Perrysburg, and attended Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church while in Florida. Besides her husband, Daniel, she is survived by sons Tim (Kim), Paul (Polly), Patrick (Marjorie), daughter, Nancy Collins (Don). Her son, Danny, preceded her in death. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jessica, Ryan, Anna, Emma, Christopher, Cooper and Claire; step-grandchildren, Curt and Greg Collins and Lindsey Lacourse; brothers-in-law, Richard (Virginia), and Raymond Dilworth and nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary, Perrysburg, (419-874-3133) with a scripture service at 7:30 P.M. Sunday evening. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 9:30 A.M. followed by The Mass of Resurrection at 10:15 A.M. which will be celebrated in St. Rose Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio, particularly nurse Mandy Moore, for the loving care that was provided during her illness. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E Front Street, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
