July 9, 1924 — February 7, 2013

Mary D. Dianda, age 88, passed away Thursday February 7, 2013 at Kingston of Sylvania. The daughter of Albert and Grace Thompson, she was born July 9, 1924 in Liberty MO. She was a graduate of McKinley High School in Washington, D.C.. She married the love of her life and best friend, Joseph Dianda on August 20, 1946. Mary and Joseph worked for the FBI, Mary as a secretary. She also taught, for a short time, Physical Education at Blessed Sacrament School. She also worked for Sears in the credit department retiring in 1985. She enjoyed fishing and spending time at Lake Columbia. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She had her special way of making all her children feel like they were the most important and she dedicated her life to caring for them. She will be sadly missed by her children, Carol James Fuelling, James Dianda, Charles Kathleen Dianda, Barbara Steve Martin, Robert Janet Dianda, Joseph Dianda, Annette Lenny Hopkins; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph and brothers, Paul Melvin Thompson. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM Monday at Blessed Sacrament Church 4227 Bellevue Toledo, OH 43613 followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
