Mary Elizabeth Dazley, 82, of Genoa, died Monday morning, March 12, 2012, in Mercy-St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio, after a short illness. Mary was born June 22, 1929, in Union Town, Pennsylvania, to Paul and Agnes Dutko Yatsko. On June 20, 1953, in Genoa, Ohio, she married Phillip Dazley and he survives. Mary was a homemaker, who enjoyed canning, gardening, cooking and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa and was very active on the Altar & Rosary Society, the Welcoming Committee, sending cards to senior church members, and served as a Eucharistic minister, money counter and on the pastoral council. Mary was also active with Mobile Meals and had worked at the Ottawa County Board of Elections polls. In addition to her husband, Phil of nearly 59 years, Mary is survived by her family, of whom she was very proud: daughter, Kathy Roger Kreis of Genoa, sons, Phil Delsie Dazley of Point Place, Michael Debbie Dazley of Genoa and Ken Shelley Dazley of Holland; 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; and brother, Paul John Shirley Yatsko of Olmstead Falls Ohio. Her parents and sister, Pauline Christie, preceded her in death. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Genoa, with a scripture service to be read at 4:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2012, in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 Main St., Genoa, with interment to follow in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. The family has suggested that in lieu of flowers, memorials for Mary be given to Our Lady of Lourdes Building Fund, 204 Main St., Genoa, OH 43430; or the American Cancer Society, 740 Commerce Dr. Suite B, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
