Mary F. Cupp, 64, of Clay Center, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Ayden of Oregon. She was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Harold R. and Sarah F. (Murnan) Cupp. Mary worked in the dietary department at the Luther Home of Mercy, Williston, Ohio for more than 20 years, until her retirement.
Mary was a very social person who enjoyed hanging out with her friends and in the early days they met at the former Jesse James Bar in Clay Center. He favorite time to celebrate was on her birthday and would jokingly let everyone know how many shopping days left until her birthday! Mary was a cat lover and always had one or more as a companion, she also liked scratch-off tickets, crossword puzzles, puzzles and making collages.
Mary is survived by her siblings Ann H. (Sheppard, Linda M. (Clifford) Kinery, Hal Cupp, Kay Cupp, and Claudia M. (Wesley) Cundiff, John“son” and his wife, John & Tammy Oberhaus, her special friend, Steve Sije, nieces and nephews, and many friends.
A celebration of Mary’s life will be scheduled for a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Humane Society of Ottawa County, 2424 E. Sand Road, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452.
