Mary Ellen Cassady

Mary Ellen Tucker Cassady, age 91 of Toledo passed away Sunday December 23, 2012 in Aspen Grove Care Center, Lambertville. She was born July 28, 1921 in Tecumseh, Michigan to Alfred and Theresa Drewyor. Mary Ellen was employed by the former Wilson Spice Company and was the former owner and operator of the CPSA Club. The widow of Raymond Tucker and Tom Cassady, she was also preceded in death by brother Louis Drewyor and sister Grace Johnson. Surviving are her children Patricia Zajac, Dennis Gretchen Tucker and Judi Jim Carnes; grandchildren Douglas Jessica, Jacqueline and Jason Ruth Zajac, Denny Jenny Tucker, Jr. and Gregory Catherine, Christopher Mary and Sean Angela Tucker, and Jamie Melissa , Jeremy and Justin Carnes; 24 great-grandchildren; sister Nancy Lyle Edgar; former son-in-law Donald Zajac; and long time companion John Hammons. Friends may visit the family at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Wednesday from 2-8 PM. Visitation will continue at Christ the King Church 4100 Harvest Lane on Thursday at 12 Noon followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 1 PM.
