Mary Marlene Boyce

Mary "Marlene" Boyce, 93, passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, February 10, 2026. Marlene was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 28, 1932 to Carl "Fred" and Mary (Pfeiffer) Scheanwald and was married September 3, 1955 to William J. Boyce, Jr.

Marlene worked for the Toledo Blade for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. She is survived by her two sons: Doug (Vanessa) Boyce of Franklin, MI and Dave (Karen) of Perrysburg; grandchildren: Jodi (Bobby), Kelly, David (Jenny), Cori (Stan), and Brian; step-grandchildren: Stephanie Crevison and Greggory Sherman; great-grandchildren: Aidan, Zoe, Owen, and Eliza, as well as several nieces and nephews. Marlene is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Will and her brother Bill.

Friends will be received from 5-8p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 in the Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. S. Boundary, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at St Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front Street in Perrysburg. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
