Mary E. Ball

Mary Elizabeth Ball age 86 of Toledo passed away on Sunday July 11, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Mary was born in Toledo on July 10, 1924 to Frances and Dorothy C. Harrison Sullivan. Mary was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Toledo. She was a volunteer at voting precincts in Lucas County. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, knitting, crocheting and baking. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her. Mary is survived by her children, John T. Rosemary Ball, Daniel S. Roberta Ball, Christine Tom Shackelford, Janine T. Ball; grandchildren, Matthew, Molly, John, Daniel, Nicholas, Mary, Jennifer, Joseph and Christopher. Also surviving is her sister, Patricia Kimberly; sisters in-law, Evelyn Sullivan, Betty Sullivan, Tresa Skiles and Janet Francis. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Steward N. Ball; daughter, Molly Elizabeth; brothers, James and Richard Sullivan sister, Ruth and her parents. Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee on Wednesday July 14, 2010 from 3-8 pm with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 10:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 5153 Summit St. Toledo. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
