Mary Ann Abele

Mary Ann Abele age 65 of Maumee passed away on Thursday September 16, 2010 at the University of Toledo Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Toledo on August 14, 1945 to Galen and Genevieve Dankert Ohms. She was employed at Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek as a Residents Assistant. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary will be missed by all who knew her. Her hobbies were bowling, bingo, playing cards, sewing and crocheting. Surviving are her sons, Jay Molly Abele and Jon April Hardin Abele; grandchildren, Jay Abele II and Andrea Abele; great-granddaughter, Makenna Abele; sisters, Char Jim Rafferty, Kathy Parker, Deb Larry Logston, Zana Don Brown, Jackie Terry Patrick, Donna Denny Redway; brother, Tim Sue Ohms. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Abele; son, Mark; her parents; sister, Dolly and brothers, Boots, Mick, Ed and Gary. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee on Monday September 20, 2010 from 3:00 pm until the times of services at 6:30 pm.
