Marvin Bernerd Wade age 88 of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 in his home surrounded by his family. Marvin was born in Waterville, OH on September 12, 1929 to Bernerd and Gladys (Aumend) Wade. Marvin was employed as a plumber for 40 years and was a member of Local 50 Plumbers and Pipefitters. He taught apprenticeship school for Local 50 for many years. His memberships also included Park Congregational United Church of Christ, where he served as a moderator, taught Sunday School, and was a member of Parknickers and Ali-oops. He was also in Lions Club and Lotus Masonic Lodge. Marvin enjoyed carving decoys and spending time with his family. Surviving is his loving wife of 67 years, Phyllis A. Wade; daughter, Marcia (Paul) Heintschel; son, Kevin D. (Sara) Wade; grandchildren, Katie (Brian) Ezell, Julie Gorman and Alison (Jason) Harle; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Myles, Griffin, William and James and sister, Mary Alice (Roger) Helberg. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his sisters, Esther, Eileen, Phyllis and a brother, Melvin. A memorial service for Marvin will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Park Church, 1456 Harvard Blvd., Toledo. Private interment took place at Ft. Meigs Cemetery.
