Marvin L Wackley

Marvin L. Wackley, age 74, passed away the 10th of October 2012 in Toledo, Ohio. Marv was born in Toledo, Ohio to Ed Helen Wackley on 6/26/1938. He graduated from Burnham High School and attended the University of Toledo. He worked as a Technical Specialist at IBM for 30 years and has been happily retired for the last twenty years. He served in the army, stationed in Germany and honorably discharged 1964. He was involved in stamp collecting, genealogy, sailing, golf, gourmet cooking, ballroom dancing, and reading. Marvs love of traveling was shared with his wife Sharon; together they traveled to 85 countries worldwide. Marv was a member of The Villages DeLaVista, Ohio Club, Ballroom Dance Club and many more. He was a parishioner of St. Joan of Arc, Toledo, OH., and St. Vincents De Paul, The Villages, FL. Visitation will be Sunday 10/14 at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania, from 2:00-6:00pm, sharing of family memories and a Toledo Power Squadron service at 4:30pm. Funeral Mass will be Monday 10/15 at 10:30am at St Joan of Arc Parish, 5856 Heatherdowns Blvd., Maumee, OH. Reception luncheon to follow at his home. Marv is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Sharon, children Dave Shelly Wackley, Michelle Bob Fulop, and Carrie Jason White, Sister Sharon Stagner and Grandchildren Nathan, Justus, Caden, Ella, Kailey Sarah. Memorials may be given to Marvin Wackley Memorial Fund c/o Key Bank, P.O. Box 310 Holland, OH 43528. Donations will be used for the purchase of a memorial park bench at The Villages, Lady Lake Florida.
