Marvin J. Savage Marvin J. Savage, 76, of Walbridge, died January 30, 2016 at Orchard Villa Nursing Home. He was born in Toledo on August 11, 1939 to John and Delores(Adler) Savage, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a clerk for CSX Railroad for over 40 years. Marv joined the Walbridge – Lake Township Fire Department on March 19, 1964 and retired as the District Chief of Station #1 on March 30, 2001. He was also an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, Latcha. Marv was preceded in death by his wife Joan, Surviving are his son: Michael C. (Marcia) Savage, Step-Children: Ken (Joan) Lanning, Karen (Tim) Stewart, Kim (Bryan) Barchel, Sister, Yvonne “Bonnie” Long, and Brother, Leslie (Molly) Savage. Friends will be received in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419-666-3121) from 2-8 PM Tuesday, where the fire department will hold honors at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 11:00 Am at Zion Lutheran Church, Latcha at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Stephen Bull officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
