Marvin E. Meadows, age 78, of Perrysburg passed away at home on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. He was born September 9, 1942, in Oak Hill, West Virginia to Marvin O. and Dorothy J. (Turner) Meadows. Marvin was a graduate of Hinton (WV) High School and worked as a Railroad Conductor at CSX for 35 years, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing (especially at Portage Lake and New River in West Virginia), working in his vegetable garden, and listening to gospel music. He was an avid NASCAR fan and regularly attended the MIS 500. A man of few words, Marvin was hard working and tender hearted. He enjoyed a good laugh, loved his family and the Lord. Marvin was a member of First Baptist Church in Perrysburg. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Kay; children, Richard (Denise) Meadows, Cherri (Brett) Farley; grandchildren, Andrew, Meghan, Kaitlyn, Sarah; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Deanna (James) Willey. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, July 3, 2021, from 10 A.M. until the time of services at 12 P.M. in the Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg. Interment will follow at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. Contributions in Marvin’s name are suggested to the American Lung Association.
