JOHNSON, MARVIN DALE Marvin Dale Johnson, age 76, was born on December 23, 1934 to Floyd and Mae Johnson in Bedford, Indiana and passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011 in Oregon, Ohio. Marvin was a salesman for Dunn Chevrolet for nearly 29 years and he proudly served his country in the Navy from 1956 to1960 as a tower operator aboard the U.S.S. Hancock. Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Joan; his daughter, Pamela (Brad) Heil; stepdaughter, Cheryl (Michael) Shaffer; brothers, Walter Johnson, Charles (Pat) Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Steve (Sharon) Johnson; sisters, Bernice (George) Stultz and Rowena Todd. He also leaves behind two grandsons; Alexander and Nicholas. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; as well as his brothers Bob, Donald and Bill and his sister, LaDonna Schroder. Marvin enjoyed spending time in his workshop with his grandsons Alex and Nick. Alex and Nick will continue to maintain Grandpa’s workshop in a manner which would make Grandpa proud. Visitation will be held Thursday July 14, 2011 at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home in Oregon, Ohio from 2-7 pm with a funeral taking place at the funeral home at 7 pm.
