Marvin J. Burley, a lifelong resident of Toledo, OH, died on Sunday, November 6, 2022. He was born, January 14, 1929, to Ralph A. and Helen W. Burley. He was a 1947 graduate of MaComber Vocational High School and continued his education at Xavier University, in Cincinnati, OH, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Upon graduation, he entered the U.S. Army and served from 1951-1953 during the Korean War, in the first infantry division.
Upon discharge from the service, he entered Georgetown University, Law Center, in Washington D.C. He then entered the accounting field in public and private practice. He retired from the Toledo District Nurse Association, D.B.A, Visiting Nurses Association, after 22 years, in December 1998. He also worked evenings and weekends at Par 3 Golf Course and Driving Range, from 1955-1977.
Surviving him are his nephew, Kevin Burley; nieces, Michelle Burley, and Kimberly Janke. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Ralph D. Burley.
Private burial will be held at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, Ohio.
