Martin Hames

Marty Hames, age 78, of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at his residence. He was born on September 4, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio to Eldon Earl and Dorothy Catherine (Kapitzen) Hames. Marty attended Woodward High School for his freshman-Junior years of high school and then graduated from Whitmer High School in 1964. After high school, he proudly served his country aboard a Naval Submarine for the United States Navy. Marty continued his education at both the University of Connecticut and the University of Toledo. He loved photography, bowling, was an avid reader and especially enjoyed golfing with his golf buddies.

Marty is survived by his wife of 22 years, Diane Hames; sister, Joann (Phillip) Corathers; nieces, Gretchen Corathers, Sara (Ike) Stump and nephew, James Corathers. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per the families wishes there will be no services at this time.
