Martha Runkle Marti Thebeau

Martha “Marti” Runkle Thebeau, age 65, of Toledo died Sunday, March 19, 2017 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Toledo on February 17, 1952 to Stanley and Mary (Sarabia) Lucio and on March 19, 2004, she married Larry Scott Thebeau Sr. Marti began her career as a Registered Nurse with Parkview Hospital and has worked as an MDS Coordinator and a Director of Nursing for several extended long term care facilities throughout northwest Ohio. She recently retired from Pristine Senior Living and Post-Acute Care as a Director of Nursing. Spending time with family was everything to her. Marti was always going above and beyond for family members and co-workers. She welcomed everyone no matter the issue and always opened her heart and her home to everyone. She had so much love to give throughout her life, no one ever felt left out. GO BROWNS! She is survived by her loving husband, Larry S. Thebeau Sr.; devoted sons, David Runkle, Don (Carrie) and Doug Runkle; step children, Larry S. Thebeau Jr. and Ruth Thebeau; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Stanley (Vickie) Lucio Jr., Andrew (Debra) Lucio, Randolph “Randy” Lucio; sisters, Elizabeth (Greg) Hale, Roseanna (Steve) Riley and Diana Kneisley. Marti was preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Mary Lucio; brother, Daniel; nephew, Sy Lucio as well as her niece, Clarisa Kneisley. Friends will be received on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 2-9 P.M. at Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH (419-865-8879) where funeral services will begin on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 9:00 A.M. and proceed to SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 138 S. Saint Clair Street, Toledo, OH for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
