Martha V. Ramirez

Martha V. Ramirez, 86, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 17, 2020 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Mathis, TX on August 6, 1934 to Lazaro and Maria (Casanova) Vaiz. As a young girl, Martha worked in the fields as a migrant worker. She married the love of her life, Remigio Ramirez and they spent 66 years and 6 months together. Martha loved gardening; her flowers and plants were the envy of the neighborhood. She enjoyed spending time with her family; especially grandchildren. Martha was a dog lover and always had a small dog to spend time with. She is survived by her loving husband, Remigio; children, Yolanda Gomez, Ed Ramirez, John Ramirez, Irene (Tom) Ramirez, Ramiro (Irene) Ramirez, Carmen (Dennis) Moore; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one 3 month old great-great-granddaughter, Elli, who she was ecstatic to be able to meet. She is also survived by her siblings, Lola Vaiz and Daniel Vaiz. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, David Vaiz, Juan Vaiz, and Rebecca Ramirez. Friends will be received on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH (419-691-6768), with a Prayer Service being held at 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
