Martha is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William “Bill” J. Lewis; her mother, Lelia (Lovett) Kimberly; sisters, Vivian and Lulabelle Sirkin; brother, Eddie Carrol; niece, Marta Rivera; and nephew, Mark Kimberly. Martha was a loving soul, devoted to her family often being referred to as the rock which built the foundation of who we are. She took pride in the 25 years spent running the day-to-day operations of the world-renowned Toledo Country Club and was cherished by many of its members.
She is survived by the second love of her life Carlis I. Knight, her partner for the last 20 years. The great nieces and nephews, Derek (Alida) Schiller, Marquitta Cotton, Vivian Kimberly, Nick Kimberly, and Brian Carroll; the great great nieces and nephews, Lelia (Michael) Dogali, Katrina (Spenser) Foster, Steven Rhonehouse, and Ava Schiller; bonus daughter, Julie Wolfe and bonus grandchildren, Kimberly Wolfe, Erin Wolfe and Stefan Wolfe.
A small interment service will celebrate her life on March 5, 2022, beginning at 11 am with a service to follow at 11:30 am, at the Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery, Chapel of Memories, W-404. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Toledo Animal Shelter, 640 Wyman St. Toledo, OH 43609 in Martha’s name.
