Martha Bair

This world lost a true flower of love, compassion, joy of family, and true beauty on July 10, 2023 when Martha (Marti) Bair passed away during the night. She was born October 11, 1948 in Harrisburg, PA.

Marti was dedicated to helping her community for her entire life. She worked for her sorority, Delta Gamma for visually impaired people. At one time, she was its President. Most recently, she worked with the Country Garden Club to bring flowers into the community and make it beautiful. She worked for many years as a teacher in the Perrysburg Public Schools. She attended Zoar Lutheran church and participated in the church choir.

Marti is survived by her husband C. William (Bill) Bair, her daughter Allison Bair, her son Eric Bair, his wife Cynthia, and grandchildren Makenzie Mercer (Ben Martin), Erica, Delaney, and Seth Bair, Davis Watson, Roslyn Watson, and just born Henry Martin. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Ann Beegle. Bill will always have her in his heart. She is survived by her sister Marian Semoff and brother Gerald Hempt. Her brother George Hempt preceded her in death. Her grandchildren called her ‘Mimi’ and she was always eager to support them in all of their endeavors.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Wizler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg, OH. Anyone wishing to make a donation in her honor may do so to the Sight Center of Northwest Ohio or to the Country Garden Club.
