Marsha Ann Waggoner

Marsha Ann Waggoner, age 72, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on July 13, 2024, at St. Charles Hospital - Oregon, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on February 18, 1952, Marsha was the daughter of Samuel and Sharon (Siferd) Downes.

Marsha was a dedicated professional in the healthcare field, starting her journey after graduating from Woodward High School in Toledo. She pursued her passion at Mercy College, earning certification as an X-ray Technician and specializing in Nuclear Medicine. Her career took her to various hospitals and clinics, including Parkview Hospital before its closure, and eventually settling at Mercy Health St. Anne Hospital in Sylvania.

In October of 1985, Marsha married Leonard Waggoner, and together they lovingly raised their family. She found joy in reading faith-based books and indulging in online shopping, particularly during the holiday season when FedEx and UPS knew her address well. She cherished quiet moments watching the Hallmark Channel with her husband and sharing meals at Applebee's and Cheddar's.

Marsha is survived by her loving husband: Leonard; children: Nique Pittman and Michal (Holly) Bezeau; stepchildren: Laura (Bruce) Taylor, Lisa (Ron) Echols, and Lana (Steve) Woolley; 16 grandchildren; great-grandson: Dorian Waggoner; brothers: Chuck Downes, Samuel Downes Jr., Rick Downes, and Randi Downes; and her Pom-Chi mix: Landon. She is preceded in death by her parents: Samuel and Sharon Downes; grandparents; nephew: Samuel Downes III; and stepdaughter: Linda Larger.

Services will be held privately to honor her memory. The family requests donations be made to a charity of choice in Marsha's name. Arrangements were made in the care of Walker Funeral Home – Oregon Chapel.
