Marsha Brown Singh, age 88, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, at Flower Hospital in Sylvania, with family by her side.
She was born on July 27, 1938, in Kansas City, MO. Marsha spent most of her childhood in San Francisco, CA. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Pomona College and was working on her master's in economics at The University of Michigan, where she met her husband of 58 years, Brijendra Singh.
Marsha was an avid reader of mysteries, loved cats and traveling. Some of her favorite adventures included traveling to Mexico, Europe, and India and cruising to the Caribbean, Alaska, and the Panama Canal. Additionally, she enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Sylvania Senior Center.
Marsha was preceded in death by her father, James Marshall Brown; mother, Mary Moody Brown; son, Michael Singh; husband, Brijendra Singh; and brother, Marshall Brown. She is survived by her son, Ajay Singh (Karen); daughter, Asha Thompson; daughter-in-law, Heather Singh (Anthony Nielson); brothers, Peter Brown (Cathleen) and Garry Brown (Susan); grandchildren, Monica (Yancy), Tasha, Katie (Thomas), Brandy (Eric), Zach, Amber, Nick (Becca), Joe, Ben, Josh, and Cameron; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org or to World Wildlife Fund at https://protect.worldwildlife.org
