Marlyn Jean Reider

Marlyn “Marly” Jean (Theiler) Reider, age 80, of Perrysburg, Ohio was surrounded by her family as she passed away on Monday, November 1, 2016 at St Luke’s hospital, Maumee after a brief illness .Marlyn was born in Tomahawk, Wisconsin on December 6, 1935 to Joseph and Bertha Theiler. She graduated with a Degree in Nursing from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Marlyn married Clarence Reider on October 10, 1959 in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. They recently celebrated 57 years of marriage. Marlyn held various nursing positions including hospital, school, industrial at Johns Manville and most recently teaching nursing at Bowling Green and Medical College of Ohio. Her passion was travel and she traveled around the world. She lived a full life and enjoyed photography, the arts, and her family. She was involved in the community and was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Parish for over 50 years. Marlyn is survived by spouse, Clarence Reider , Perrysburg, OH, sister Patricia (Theiler) Miller , San Diego, CA., children Katherine (Daniel) Spatz , Columbus, Stephen (Susan) Reider , Frankenmuth, MI, Susan Reider , Perrysburg Sandra Hallett ,Tiffin Grandchildren Danielle and Kaitlyn Spatz, Meghan and Sean Reider, Theiler Christian and Ryan Hallett, many nieces, nephews, family and many dear friends. Marlyn was the youngest of six children and was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Bertha Theiler, her four brothers; Joseph, Thomas, Edward and Richard and two sons; Kenneth and Richard. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 10:30 am at Saint Rose of Lima Parish, Perrysburg, Ohio. Visitation will be on Monday November 7, 2016 the family will be receiving visitors from 2 pm-8pm at Maison Dardenne Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations be made to Seneca Autism Learning Support Association (SALSA - www.seneca-salsa.org).
