“Marlene "Molly" Bray, age 89, passed away on August 12, 2023, in Perrysburg, Ohio. She was born on October 30, 1933, in Salem, Virginia, to her parents Harry & Irene Gallion. Marlene, who was also known as Molly, will be remembered for her fighting spirit and dedication to children. She spent many years working as a teacher and supervisor for the Florida Department of Children and Families. In her free time, Marlene enjoyed indulging in a good meal, particularly a junior Whopper from Burger King or a hot dog from Rudy's in Toledo, Ohio, accompanied by a classic Coke-a-Cola. She had a passion for reminiscing about her adventures abroad and the beautiful plants her late husband, Harold, grew at their Florida home. Marlene also found solace in playing Solitaire on the computer, occasionally purchasing a lotto ticket, doing crosswords puzzles, and cuddling her beloved dog, Oliver. Marlene is survived by her sister Imogene “Immy” Fulcher, son, John Bray and daughter-in-law Samantha Bray, her granddaughters, Chelsea Bray and Emma Bray, and her grandson, Zackery Rhodes. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry & Irene Gallion, her brothers Wayne “Alwood” Gallion and Clifford Gallion, her sisters Louise Chittum and Mary Mitchell, and her grandson, Roman Bray. Cremation arrangements were pre-arranged at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home in Perrysburg, Ohio. Marlene will be laid to final rest at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Cemetery in Sanford, Florida, next to her beloved husband, Harold, in their selected columbarium. Marlene "Molly" Bray will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her memory will live on in their hearts forever.”
