Mark Dean Welker, 61, died peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on August 26th. Mark was a 1978 graduate of Macomber-Whitney; he performed with Bozo the Clown; was a tap dancer; piano player, wrestler, tennis player, golfer, loved to fish and an highly intellegent electrician for Local #8 Union for 36 years. Anywhere Mark went he made friends. He was a happy go lucky kind of guy.
He was born to and preceded in death by father Marland Welker, mother Judith Elekonich and Stepfather Michael Elekonich. Mark is also preceded in death by his wife of 26 years Priscilla Welker; wife of 10 years Kathy Welker; and by twin grandchildren J.J. Dean & Jenna.
Mark is survived by his stepdaughters Gina (Donnie) Wray and Janice Reilly; stepson Michael Velez; grandchildren Marc E., Josie, Mollee, Moriah, Rico, Anthony and Alicia; and many great-grandchildren. Mark is also survived by his 2 brothers Matt Welker and Tim Welker; along with nieces and nephews Amanda, Shannon, Caden; an aunt, uncle, cousins and good family friend Bill Reilly.
Please join us in a celebratory showing on Thursday, September 1 from 4-6 PM, with service immediately at 6 PM at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford OH. Donations in Mark’s honor would be appreciated to the Cherry Street Mission and Hospice of NW Ohio.
